I'm a Finalist!

In the awards world, a finalist is like landing in the top 2-5% of the competition. They announce a winner and about 5-6 finalists. So, hey, I'll take it! The most meaningful part of earning this finalist award is that strangers in the book world think my writing is worthy of this level of recognition.

Dive into the thrilling world of the ocean with "Beneath the Blue," the third book in the Crustacean Chronicles series. Claudia is devastated when she doesn't win the Sand Sculpture Competition, especially since her rivals, Charlie and Chuck, take home the coveted trophy.

But when the trophy responds to Chuck in a way she couldn't have imagined, Claudia is determined to learn the truth about the mysterious compass. On her quest, she faces unexpected obstacles and learns from King Triton himself the depths of the ancient prophecy. As she delves deeper, she is forced to confront the truth within her own heart.

Can Claudia, Charlie, and Chuck work together to overcome mysterious challenges and bring balance back to the ocean? Fans of adventure and fantasy will love this riveting tale of mystery, determination, and friendship. For ages 8-12.

Series Spotlight!

The Crustacean Chronicles

In the heart of a vibrant community at Conch Beach, Charlie the crab prefers solitude beneath his rock, avoiding the social interactions of his fellow crabs. His peace is disrupted when a lively crab relentlessly attempts to befriend him. Charlie is solely focused on winning the prestigious Sand Sculpture competition, but his plans are upended when the competition rules unexpectedly change. Through a series of trials and adventures, Charlie discovers the importance of collaboration and embracing differences in others.

This journey of self-discovery unfolds in Book One of "The Crustacean Chronicles." The excitement escalates in Book Two, titled "The Sand Sculpture Competition," where the crabs gear up for the annual event. As the sun shines brightly on the sandy shores, the community buzzes with anticipation for the competition. Charlie comes up with a brilliant idea for a sand sculpture, but his plans are thwarted when his concept is stolen. Teaming up with Chuck, his new friend, and Sandy, their mermaid ally, they must devise a new strategy to reclaim victory.

Challenges arise when their leader, Old Crusty, demands an explanation regarding their use of a precious resource in their sculpture. As the pressure mounts, Charlie must share a captivating story that could jeopardize their chances of winning. The questions linger: Will the other crabs believe him? Can they pull off their masterpiece in time to secure the trophy?

For readers captivated by "Charlie's Crabby Day," this sequel promises even more action, drama, and unexpected twists, ensuring a gripping read that keeps them on the edge of their seats until the final moments.

The adventure continues in Book Three, "Beneath the Blue." Following the Sand Sculpture Competition, Claudia is disheartened by her failure to win, especially as Charlie and Chuck take home the coveted trophy. However, when the trophy astonishingly reacts to Chuck, Claudia's curiosity is piqued, prompting her to uncover the truth behind a mysterious compass linked to the trophy.

On her quest for answers, Claudia encounters unforeseen challenges and even receives guidance from King Triton, who reveals the depths of an ancient prophecy. As she delves deeper into this mystical journey, Claudia must confront the truths within her own heart and decide how to move forward.

The story emphasizes themes of friendship, determination, and the importance of working together to overcome obstacles. As Claudia, Charlie, and Chuck navigate their challenges, they learn to balance their strengths and weaknesses, ultimately striving to restore harmony in the ocean.

The Crustacean Chronicles is an engaging series designed for readers aged 8-12, filled with excitement, creativity, and valuable life lessons. Each installment invites readers to dive into a world of adventure, encouraging them to explore the power of collaboration and self-discovery amid fantastical oceanic settings.
